This module has been developed to enable registered practitioners in the fields of cardiac and coronary healthcare to develop their knowledge, expertise and understanding in these specialist areas. Students will need to complete a competency document and will need a mentor / mentors in their clinical area.
Developments in technology and government policy generate a need to equip practitioners with sound evidence-based knowledge and skills to meet the changing demands of the cardiac care environment.

Prerequisites
Registered health care practitioners with a minimum 6 months experience in a relevant cardiac care area.
For Level 6 study you’ll need 120 credits at Level 5 or equivalent.
Have the support of your clinical manager and a suitably qualified mentor/assessor.
Opportunity to work outside usual clinical area, if necessary, to gain specific clinical competence.
