This module explores the normal physiology of healing and the underlying pathophysiology of recalcitrant wounds and relates these to evidence based practice in the management of acute and chronic wounds. The aim is for the practitioner to analyse critically and evaluate the strategies that prevent tissue breakdown or promote healing and restoration of function.
